Romero’s Taco Truck began as an idea in the thoughts of the Romero family; Cesar, Alejandro, Carmelo, and Tonny Romero. It was a business maneuver that would change their lives forever, unfortunately however, it was an idea that was left on the backburner due to responsibilities like putting food on the table and supporting their families. For over 20 years, Alex, later known as “Papa Alex," Carmelo, Cesar and Tonny Romero worked a long side each other at the local Milwaukee dine-ins. Being so close to the Mexican culture for most of their lives, English was more of a second language to the brothers, which made it much more difficult to get higher established careers. Two decades ago, the Romero's family began climbing the ranks starting as just mere dishwashers, grinding away those long shifts to become Senior General Managers at their own locations. Although the family became respected members of the corporation, they were still living paycheck to paycheck supporting their family. Tired of living the life they felt stuck in, the family decided to take a leap of faith and use the money the have been able to save to invest into a taco truck that had hoped to embrace Mexican food culture to the world and show what they are made of. With all the knowledge obtained in past food business ventures, Alex, Carmelo, Cesar, and Tonny Romero felt confident. They are now proud business owners and proud to share the food of their culture with others..
